KENLY – Katherine Denise “Katie” Kirby-Parker, age 34, died Friday, October 5, 2018 from injuries received in an automobile accident. Born February 7, 1984 in Houston, TX, she was a daughter of Thomas H. and Lourdes Kirby of Albuquerque, NM. Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband, Nathan Parker of 12 years; brother, Christopher Kirby, his wife Mia and their son, Asher of Albuquerque, NM and her sister, Alexandra Griego and her husband Matt of Austin, TX.
Katie loved life and it spilled over into her loving and compassionate way she cared for everyone she encountered. She was proud to receive her Master’s Degree in Medical Dosimetry and an active member of the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD). Katie loved all animals especially her horse, Nikki.
Following her wishes, a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the Pastor Earl Sadler, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 just prior to the service.
With the love of her friends and family, there will be a second memorial service to be held in Albuquerque, NM at Faith Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 3:00pm with Pastor Bruce Wilder officiating.
