Benson, NC: Mrs. Kathryn Stewart Wassermann, age 92, of Benson-Hardee Road died Thursday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Coats, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Jason Hammersley. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Wassermann was born July 25, 1924 in Johnston County to the late Charley Bland and Alzula Stephenson Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Adam Wassermann. Mrs. Wassermann was a retired substitute teacher for Wake County Schools and also a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Lee and Howard White of Greensboro, Susan and Louis Daveiro of Elizabeth City, Teenia Marie Wasserman of Benson, and Anita W. and Daniel Moore of Raleigh; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday 10:00AM -10:45AM prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
