Benson, NC: Mr. Kenneth Raymond Tart, age 70, of 503 E. Church St. died Monday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Glenn McCullen and Mr. Randy Byrd. Burial will follow in Harnett Devotional Gardens, Dunn.
Mr. Tart was born April 25, 1946 in Harnett County to the late Eulas Alton and Alma Byrd Tart. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Hunter, Bill and Wayne Tart, and a sister, Grace Bolton. Mr. Tart was a retired truck driver for Underwood & Weld and also worked for Carolina Mulch Company in Dunn. Mr. Tart was a member of Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving include wife, Rebecca Pleasant Tart; son & daughter-in-law, Roger Kenneth & Lesia Tart of Benson; daughter, Laura Dean; grandsons, Kendall, Mason, and Carson Tart; sister & brother-in-law, Shelby & J.F. Raynor of Hopewell, Va.; brother & sister-in-law, Larry & Jackie Tart of Sanford; and also several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
