Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Larry Wayne Johnson, age 67, of 623 Mulberry Road, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. Graveside Service will be held 2:00PM- Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Sir William Johnson Family Cemetery in Four Oaks and the family invites you to a celebration of life at the home following the service.
Mr. Johnson was born on May 23, 1953 in Harnett County to the late David and Lucille Lee Johnson. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Johnson and Leamon Johnson; and a sister, Helen Johnson. Mr. Johnson owned and operated LJ’S Custom Cabinets for 35 years and started a band, Westgate which he was the lead singer and guitarist.
Surviving include his wife of 46 years, Becky Johnson; children, Donna Johnson, Davy Johnson, and Dustin Johnson, all of Four Oaks; brother, Glenn Johnson and wife, Jean of Four Oaks; cousin, Gary Dunn and wife, Pam of Four Oaks; several special pets, Precious, Kujo, Little Debbie, Little Roxie, Big Willie, Elvis, Lucky, Sandy, and Bug.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks. In accordance with the current NC-COVID19 guidelines, the visitation is subject to the mass gathering limits. The funeral home suggest practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash and wear a face covering.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to the Johnston County Animal Protection League P.O. Box 607 Smithfield, NC 27577.
