Princeton – Julia Laverne Worley Morgan of Princeton, N.C. died on September 30, 2018 in her home. Born in Johnston County on January 5, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Tyner and Lou Edwards Tyner. She was also predeceased in death by her husband of 34 years, Hugh L. Worley, Sr., and a sister, Mary Ellen McLamb. Laverne was a long time member of Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in Tee’s Chapel FWB Church with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon Wednesday just prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Morgan; son, Hugh Worley, Jr. (Michele); daughter, Julie Cox (John); grandson, Joseph Worley (KaSondra); great grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Worley, all of Princeton, N.C.; and sisters, Myrtle Hodge, Evelyn Norris, Nelda Creech, and Linda Robbins, all of Smithfield.
