Lawrence was born February 15, 1957 in Raleigh, NC to the late Martha Lou Rouse (Kirby). He grew up in Raleigh, NC where he began his career at Earp’s Seafood. He soon began driving trucks where he earned the nickname “Wildman” and became widely known. In 1984 he met the love of his life, Cynthia, and started a family. For a long time he owned his own log trucking business, but eventually ended that to drive trucks for D and J Logging. He loved what he did and even took his daughters out on adventures with him. Lawrence was always either driving a truck or tinkering on a truck and never met a stranger. In his spare time, which was super rare, he enjoyed watching an array of sports as well as his favorite westerns.
