Smithfield – Lawrence Theodore Englehart, Jr., age 65, died Saturday, January 5, 2019 in SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born July 22, 1953 in Baltimore, MD he was a son of the late Lawrence Theodore and Geniveve Hall Englehart. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Englehart and Norman Englehart. Lawrence enjoyed camping, building things, playing cards, fishing, and being on the Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Cornett officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday just prior to the service.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Englehart; children, Larry Englehart of Clayton, Laura Englehart of Smithfield, Lindsay Umberger and husband James of Clayton, Andrew Englehart and wife Emily of Fuquay-Varina, Samantha Englehart of Smithfield, Kasandra Richardson and husband Eric of Angier, and Edward Hammell and wife Brandy of Princeton; brother, William Englehart of North Dakota; sister-in-law, Sharon Englehart of Smithfield; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one grandchild on the way.
