Leamon Dwight Capps, 77, of Goldsboro, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at UNC Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro surrounded by his family. Leamon was born in Wayne County on December 17, 1943 to the late Crutchfield Walter Capps and Eva Fail Capps.

Leamon is survived by his daughter, Valerie Capps Dobbins and husband Drew of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Nolan and Hannah Miller, and several other family and friends.
Leamon was a hard working man. He worked many years for RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company up until retirement and found himself working at Lowes after that. He was a member of Antioch Presbyterian Church for several years. In his spare time, he loved to fish, garden, and be outdoors, but most importantly spend time with his family and friends who he loved dearly. He will be surely missed but precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of those whom knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery with Reverend Kelley Buffaloe officiating. Family and friends are invited to visit at Valerie and Drew’s home located at 2166 Old Smithfield Road in Goldsboro.
