Lessie Naomi Radford McKeel, 91, passed away at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield on Sunday, August 20, 2017. She was born January 19, 1926 to the late Cleveland Haley and Lillie Flowers Radford. She is also preceded in death by five brothers, Major, Mangus, Hubert, Bill and Aubrey Radford as well as one sister, Alberta Mozingo. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the Casey Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dwayne Batten officiating. The burial will take place on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am in Princeton Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, William R. McKeel, Sr.; daughter, Marie McKeel Swann and her husband, Jeff of Washington; sons, William R. McKeel, Jr. and wife, Susie of Elm City, Robert R. McKeel of Garner, and Charles A. McKeel and wife, Christine of Aiken, SC; sister, Christine Peedin of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, William McKeel III and wife, Jenna, Jeffrey Swann, Kevin Swann and wife, Brianna, Robby McKeel, Paul McKeel, Kyle McKeel and wife, Alejandra, David McKeel, Alex McKeel and Ashley McKeel; great granddaughter, Peyton McKeel.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Casey Funeral Home Chapel.
