Coats, NC: Mrs. Lettie Mae Register Godwin Taylor, age 93, died Wednesday at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM Friday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats. Officiating will be Rev. Stancil Balcom. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn.
Mrs. Taylor was born on July 1, 1923 in Johnston County to the late Idell and Ida Mae Parker Register. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Jesse Martin Godwin and Edwin M. Taylor and son, Jesse Ray Godwin. Mrs. Taylor had worked at Terry Hill and was a homemaker. She was also a member of Pleasant Memory Baptist Church in Coats.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda Joyce & Glenn Pope of Wilmington and Dorothy Carol & Harold Keyser of Raleigh; son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. & Pat Godwin of Coats; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sue Godwin of Coats; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1:00PM to 1:45PM Friday prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats and other times at the home of Larry D. and Pat Godwin, 834 Old Stage Rd. North, Coats, NC 27521.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Hope Children’s Home, 11415 Hope International Drive, Tampa, Florida 33625 or Pleasant Memory Baptist Church, 579 Old Stage Road, Coats, NC 27521.
