CLAYTON – Levy Preston “Pie” Myers, age 72, died Tuesday evening in the Laurels of Forest Glenn in Garner. Born May 3, 1945 in Johnston County to the late Stephen Henry and Annie Ruth Creech Myers, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Myers and Glenn Myers and his faithful dog “P.J.”. He attended the Clayton Church of God of Prophecy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the Rev. Ronnie Massey officiating. Burial will follow in the Price Cemetery near Selma. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his sister, Bonnie, 104 Butler Road, Dudley, NC.
Surviving are his companion of 44 years, JoAnn Fowler; daughter, Debra Myers Massey of Pine Level; sisters, Bonnie Myers Davis and husband Jimmy of Dudley and Shirley D. Myers and companion Richard Collins of Goldsboro, Three grandchildren, one great grandchild and a special friend Pete Parrish.
