Benson, NC: Mrs. Lila Rose Temple Jernigan, age 91, died Saturday at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab in Benson. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Burial will follow in the Barbour Family Cemetery, Four Oaks. Officiating will be Pastor Josh Brown.
Mrs. Jernigan was born June 11, 1925 in Harnett County to the late Lonnie Dean and Florance Temple. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Jernigan and daughters, Margie McLamb and Elizabeth Schimmelpfenning. Mrs. Jernigan was a homemaker and member of Solid Rock Ministries in Angier.
Surviving include children, Kathy Padgett, Johnny Jernigan, Tommy Jernigan, J.C. Jernigan, Jr. and Myrtle Blake; many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 9:45 AM-10:45 AM Wednesday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
