Linda Anne Peed Wyman, age 66, of Selma passed away at her home on September 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Johnston County on July 1, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Grace Lambert Peed. She was also preceded in death by her friend and late husband Dr. Robert West Wyman and her sisters Rachel Crocker and Mildred Canady and nephews Danny Canady and Jeff House. Anne was a graduate of SSS High School and Atlantic Christian College. She retired from the Johnston County School System having taught at North Johnston High School as a Career and Technical Education teacher. She later became the CTE Career Development Coordinator for North Johnston High School and later the Johnston County CTE Instructional Management Coordinator. She was a member of Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church in Selma.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1-2 PM, just prior to the service.
Surviving are her daughters, Julie Baker and husband Greg of Wake Forest, Becky Owens and husband Robert of Culver City, CA; step-son Robert Wyman and wife Stephanie of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren Tate and Sienna Owens, Kennedy and Brady Baker, Luke and Jake Wyman; longtime special friend Larry Strickland of Pine Level; and nieces and nephews Jennifer Baker, Janet Proctor Burgess, Darrell Canady and Joy Peedin.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Angels Among Us at Duke University Medical Center.
