Smithfield—Linda Hill Campbell, 93, of Brogden Road died on Saturday, March 16 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born in Johnston County on October 25, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Moses Vick and Margaret Elizabeth Woodall Hill. Linda loved flowers and she worked in the florist business for many years, delivering for Cyn-Mar. She was preceded in death by her husband James Campbell, her brother Worth E. Hill, her sister Eunice Norton, and her half-brothers Moses Hill and William Hill.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 19 at 2:00 PM in Sanders Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Brennan Hurley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall from 1-2 pm just prior to the service.
Surviving are her sons, Truett Underhill and wife Gayle of Selma, Thomas Underhill and wife Kim of Raleigh; grandchildren, Brad Underhill and wife Sharon of Florida, Chris Underhill of Pine Level, Meghan Underhill of Raleigh; great grandchildren, Ricky Underhill and wife Miranda of Florida, Christian Underhill of Florida; great great grandchild, Ryker Underhill.
