Linda Gray Holmes Fox, age 71, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her home. Born October 22, 1946 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Buster and Carrie Jones Holmes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Fox; brothers, Jerry Holmes, Tim Holmes, and Billy Holmes; and sister, Carrie Lee Parker. Linda was a member of Believer’s Baptist in Clayton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Worley officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Friday just prior to the service.
Surviving are her son, Mike Gilmore and wife Connie of Clayton; daughter, Annette Freeman and husband David of Wilmington; stepson, Tim Fox of Kenly; stepdaughter, Angie Fox of Pikeville; brothers, Bobby Holmes and Tommy Holmes and wife Doris; sisters, JoAnn Gilmore and husband Rubin and Faye Wiggins; grandchildren, Kristin Kelemen and husband Paul, Heather Freeman, Ashley Benevides and husband Fernando, and Haley Gilmore; and great grandchildren, Christopher Matthews, Paityn Kelemen, and Jenna Alexander.
