Smithfield – Linda Ann Malpass Rose, age 71, died Monday morning, August 7, 2017 in Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born August 17, 1945 in Wayne County she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Ethel Haire Malpass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Rose; brother, James Malpass; and sisters, Mary Emma Williford and Frances Keen. Linda was a member of Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Smithfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 in Tee’s Chapel FWB Church with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Overbee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
Surviving are her daughter, Heather Gerrell and husband James of Selma; mother-in-law, Mary Rose of Smithfield; brother-in-law, Randy Rose and wife Amy of Smithfield; sister-in-law, Charlotte Malpass of Goldsboro; grandchildren, McKenzie Gerrell, Maddie Gerrell, and Carson Gerrell; and several nieces and nephews.
