Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Lula Dunn Allen, age 86, of Allen’s Crossroads Road died Wednesday at Brian Center in Clayton. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Friday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Doug Abel and Scott Johnson. Burial will follow in Allen Family Cemetery, Four Oaks, NC.
Mrs. Allen was born September 27, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Albert and Martha Parker Dunn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Benton Allen; son-in-law, Al Hardee; sisters, Eula McLamb, Callie Peacock, Mary Ann Barefoot and Lucy Jane Morgan; brothers, Buck Dunn, Monroe Dunn, Amos Dunn, Garfield Dunn and Leander Dunn. Mrs. Allen had worked at Sylvania and Belk’s. She was also a member of Stones Creek Advent Christian Church in Benson.
Surviving include; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Blanche Allen of Four Oaks; daughter, Linda Lou Hardee of Four Oaks; grandchildren and spouse; Carius and Kim Allen, Lee Madison, Melissa and Dishon Allen; great grandson, Brandon Madison; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM – 8:00PM Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Gene and Blanche Allen, 1320 Allen’s Crossroads Rd, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
