Smithfield- Lula Ann Parrish, age 79, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Born September 27, 1942 in Durham County she was a daughter of the late Edgar Wingate Underhill and Georgia Smith Underhill.
Lula was one of nine children, and is proceeded in death by seven of her siblings and her daughter, Peggy Parrish.
On June 21, 1968 Lula married her late husband Nathaniel Stephenson Parrish. They were married 45 years before his passing on November 10, 2013. Together they had two daughters, Wanda Gail Parrish and Peggy Parrish. Lula was a member of the Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Selma.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. just prior to the service.
Surviving are her daughter, Wanda Gail Parrish Jones of Selma; brother, George Underhill of Kernersville; grandchildren, Jordan Tyler Jones; Brittany Ann Jones; Natalie Ann Mitchell; and great grandchildren, A.J. Jones, Lilly Ann Waddell, and Paisley Ann Jones.
