Maggie Pearl Harrell completed her journey home Thursday morning to the welcoming words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Pearl was born June 8, 1935 in Wilson County to the late Johnny D. and Sudie Elizabeth Saunders. She was married to the late Bishop Herbert William Harrell. Pearl was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that will lead them all their lives. Pearl loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart, and she loved God’s Word. Though she was a humble, gentle woman, Pearl was nonetheless a powerful prayer warrior, and only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her family, her friends, and the world at large.
A service to remember her life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. by the graveside at Eureka Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Pearl is survived by her daughters, Deborah Williford and husband Richard of Dunn, and Tonya Harper and husband Bruce of Smithfield; grandchildren, Christie Williford, Shane Williford and wife Megan, Jonathon Harper and wife Stephanie, and Amanda Norris and husband Jonathan; great grandchildren, Ethan Williford, Kayla Williford, Asia Whitley, Jalen Wells, Kaydance Norris, Emmett Harper and Elliott Harper; and her sister Faye Robbins of Bakertown, NC.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Saunders, and Melvin Saunders; and sister Lois Raper.
