Selma – Margaret Hines Daughtry, age 90, died Thursday morning at the Brian Center in Clayton. Born March 26, 1928 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Clarence Becton and Effie Aycock Hines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Daughtry; daughters, Rose Hicks and Pat Evans; and many brothers and sisters. Margaret was a member of the Parrish Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Selma.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Parrish Memorial Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Aycock Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday just prior to the service.
Surviving are her son, Rudy Daughtry and wife Donna of Wilmington; two granddaughters, Nicole Canterbury and husband Lance of Clayton and Sara Hicks Grant and husband Craig of Durham; and great grandchildren, Hannah, Cole, Julianna, Cheyenne, and Dakota.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Parrish Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 606 Parrish Memorial Road, Selma, North Carolina 27576.
