Four Oaks, NC: Mrs. Margaret Austin Lassiter, age 79, of 2712 Parkertown Road died Wednesday at her residence. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Saturday at St. Mary’s Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. David Langley.
Mrs. Lassiter was born October 6, 1938 in Johnston County to the late Lester and Patsy Johnson Austin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hunter Lassiter, Jr. and a daughter, Gayle Revel. Mrs. Lassiter retired from Smithfield Middle School Cafeteria and was a member of St. Mary’s Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving include her children, Delcie Crumpler and Ralph Hunter Lassiter, III. all of Four Oaks; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Delma Austin of Smithfield; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1:30 PM 2:45 PM Saturday prior to the service at St. Mary’s Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church.
