Margaret “Peggy” Harrell Rawls, daughter of the late John and Louise Harrell passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at the age of 80. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2:00pm. The interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Clayton.
She is survived by her daughters, Shelia Wooten, Tammy Deans and her fiancé, Dale Acton, Lou Harrell and her husband, David; son, Patrick Dale Rawls and his wife, Annette; sister, Edna H. Brown and her husband, Jim; grandchildren, Joey Wooten and wife, Angie, Jennifer Wall and husband, Jonathan, Jeremy Sweet and wife, Laura, C J Deans and wife, Jamie, Kelly Repka and husband, Jeremy, Rachel Crocker and husband Jerry, Richard Deans and fiancée Kendra, Patrick Rawls and Hope Rawls; fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Luther “Pete” Rawls; son, Joseph Luther “Mickey” Rawls, Jr.; brother, Joseph Allen Harrell; sons-in-law, Glenn Wooten, Delton Ray Jones and Jerry Sweet.
