Benson, NC: Mrs. Maria P. Cortez, age 56, of W. Harnett Street, died Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Father Hector. Burial will follow in the Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Benson.
Mrs. Cortez was born in Los Azuito Jal, Mexico to the late Jose Padilla Baez and Maria Dolores Cortez Guerrero. She worked for McDonald’s in Four Oaks.
Surviving include her husband, Enrique Marin of Benson; children, Enrique Marin, Jr. of Angier, Juan Jose Marin of Benson, Miuler Saul Marin of Clayton, Rodrigo Marin of Benson; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers and sisters, Maria Padilla, Rodrigo Padilla, Rosa Padilla, Jose De Los Santos Padilla; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM-2:30PM, Sunday, February 9, 2020 prior to the funeral service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
