    Princeton – Marjorie Marie Aycock Daughtry, age 89, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 in the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born April 5, 1932 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Tom and Lala Edwards Aycock. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Randall Daughtry; grandson, Ryan Peedin; sister, Agnes Batten, Blanche House, Pearl Wells, Mary Ellis, and Edith Pittman; and brother, Thomas Aycock.

    Marjorie and her husband Randall owned and operated Daughtry’s Upholstery for over 40 years. When not at home or work, you could always find Marjorie at her church, Hephzibah Baptist Church, that she so dearly loved. Marjorie was very active in the church, serving in various positions throughout the church where she was needed, as long as her health allowed.

    A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Hephzibah Church Cemetery with Dr. Curtis Rains and Pastor Kevin Drake officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

    Surviving are her sons, Bobby Daughtry and wife Wanda of Princeton and Billy Daughtry and wife Mary of Pine Level; daughter, Nancy Peedin and husband Danny of Princeton; sister, Harlene Sasser of Pinkney; grandchildren, Jamie Daughtry and wife Sandy, Jeremy Daughtry and wife Rachel, Jason Peedin, Tyler Daughtry, and Mary Margaret Daughtry Hairr and husband John Wesley; and great grandchildren, Travis Daughtry, Madison Daughtry, Emma Daughtry, Samantha Austin, and Mandy Austin.
