Four Oaks – Mark Thomas Baker, age 60, passed away Sunday October 3, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital. He was born in Wake County on July 25, 1961 to the late Maylon and Virginia Baker.
The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Friday October 8, 2021 from 1 PM to 2 PM. A grave side service will follow the visitation in Selma Memorial Gardens on Friday.
Mark graduated from Smithfield Selma High School in 1980. He attended Mt. Olive and JCC College. Mark enjoyed riding his bicycle all over Johnston County to visit friends and family. He was also an avid train enthusiast and traveled all over the United States. Mark was a member of Selma Baptist Church and Selma Original Free Will Baptist Church. Mark was a resident of Oakview Commons in Four Oaks NC. Mark never met a stranger and was always full of joy and laughter.
Mark is survived by sisters, Catherine Matthews and husband Robin of Wilsons Mills, Susan Brown and husband Scott of Benson; nephew, Nicholas Matthews; nieces, Jenna and Jordyn Brown.
