Kenly – Martha Darlene Peterson, age 39, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from
injuries received in an automobile accident. She was born December 31, 1978 in
Johnston County to the late John Rufus and Linda Faye Cooper Peterson. Darlene
has been in the Day Care Industry in Johnston County since 2003.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 in
the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Goff officiating. Burial
will follow in the cemetery of Bethany Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Destiny Cherry of Kenly; best friend, Terry Baker of
Kenly; her daughter’s father, Brent Cherry of Selma; special children, Starr Pridgen
of Kenly and Delaina Pender of Four Oaks; aunt, Georgia Lassiter of Selma and
cousins, Gary Cooper, Donald Cooper and Sandy Cooper all of Kenly.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home
and at other times at the home.
