Marvin Charles Haddock, age 85, of Princeton passed away peacefully on September 3, 2017 at Smithfield Manor surrounded by his family. Born in Lenoir County on January 2, 1932, he was the son of the late Christopher C. and Inez Grant Haddock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother Clyde Haddock; sisters Lina Wendell, Annie Butts, Frances McDougald; and brothers Lindy Sauls and C. H. Haddock. Mr. Haddock owned and operated Haddock Enterprises in Princeton for over 40 years. He was a retired member of the 105th Medical Battalion with the North Carolina National Guard and was a member of Princeton Baptist Church. Mr. Haddock was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Princeton Baptist Church, Monday from 5 to 7 PM and at other times at the home of Eddie Haddock, 107 Toler St., Princeton, NC. Funeral services will be in Princeton Baptist Church at 7:00 PM on Monday. Burial will be on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Edwards Haddock; sons, Charles E. “Eddie” Haddock and wife Kim, Tony C. Haddock and wife Duane, all of Princeton; grandchildren, Ashley Haddock and fiancé Edward, Matthew Haddock and wife Brittany, Jordan Haddock and wife Danielle, Kaitlyn Haddock Batten and husband Brad; and great grandchildren Charlotte and Connor Haddock.
