Smithfield – Mary Helen Strickland Spellen, age 45, died Monday, April 24, 2017 in Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born August 4, 1971 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late David Arthur and Gennettie Jones Strickland.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 in Price Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
Surviving are her daughter, Michelle Holland of Smithfield; stepson, Michael Holland of McGee’s Crossroads; significant other, Mark Butler of Smithfield; brother, Dennis Strickland of Smithfield; and sisters, Alice Weishaar of Smithfield and Geraldine Butler of Kenly.
