Mavis Elizabeth “Lib” Honeycutt Lassiter, 79, of Goldsboro passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017. She was born June 8, 1938 to the late Theola Honeycutt King. Mrs. Lassiter retired from Rosewood Elementary School Cafeteria.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 6:00 pm in Casey Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dennis Pollock and Reverend Mike Collier officiating. The burial will take place on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, David M. Lassiter, Sr.; son, David Lassiter, Jr. of Princeton; daughters, Darlene Stroud of Princeton, Deborah Hester of Princeton, Barbara Barnes of Goldsboro, Laura Worley of Princeton, Wendy Creech of Princeton; brothers, Reese Honeycutt of Goldsboro, Donnie King of Goldsboro; sisters, Sharon Pate of Rocky Mount, Teresa Young of Las Vegas, Nevada and 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Casey Funeral Home Chapel.
