Benson, NC: Mrs. Melissa Sue Hudson Barefoot, age 30, of 150 Jumping Run Road died Sunday at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn. Funeral Service will be 3:00PM Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Sammy Hall. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Benson.
Mrs. Barefoot was born on July 17, 1986 in Orange County to Jennifer Byrd of Dunn and Travis Hudson of Sanford. She was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Lettie Hudson and sister, Rebecca Byrd. Mrs. Barefoot was a homemaker.
Surviving in addition to her parents are husband, Chris Barefoot; children, Aquiria Hudson and Connor Hudson of the home; step-father, Rickey Parker of Dunn; maternal grandmother, Becky Gibbs of Benson; maternal grandfather, Willie Byrd, Sr. of Wytheville, VA; paternal grandfather, Rastus Hudson of Dunn; sisters, Susan Hudson of Dunn, Sandra and Tyler Baker of Smithfield, Brandi Parker and Pearl Parker both of Dunn; step-brother, Anthony Parker of Dunn; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM – 8:00PM Wednesday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Becky Gibbs, 3084 Hannah Creek Road, Benson, NC 27504.
