Melvin Clifton “Cliff” Rains, II, age 52, died Monday, March 8, 2021 in Johnston UNC Health in Smithfield. Born February 12, 1969 in Nash County he was the son of Nancy Joyner Rains of Colorado and the late Melvin Clifton Rains. Cliff was a life long member of Rains Crossroads FWB Church in Princeton.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday just prior to the service.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his sisters, Tanya Morris of VA and Kim Drown of CO; brother-in-law, John Henley; nephews, Brandon Starling and Robbie Drown; nieces, Caleigh J. Drown and Magdalene Drown; great nephew, Sebastian Starling; and great niece, Kayleigh Starling.
