Clayton – Michael Vaughan Gilliam, age 70, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021, in his home in Clayton. He was born on August 16, 1950, to Vaughan and Ann Gilliam in Richmond VA. He is preceded in death by his father Vaughan Gilliam. Michael was a unique individual and he lived a simple and quiet life. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. His favorite hobbies included being an enthusiastic Ham Radio operator as well as an audio design expert.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ann Theresa Beasley, step-father, Raymond Beasley Sr., brothers, Stephen King of Appomattox, VA, David Gilliam of Lynchburg, VA, Raymond Beasley Jr. of Rustburg, VA, sisters, Sheila Ranoia of Philadelphia, PA, Susan Bell of Lynchburg, VA and Tracy Ladroga of MA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
