Michael Wayne Ward, 67, of Smithfield, NC, passed away Saturday January 9, 2021 at UNC Johnston Health. He was born November 6, 1953 to the late Raymond Allen and Carrie Lena Hill Ward. In additional to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Sherwood Ward.
Mr. Ward was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Before his retirement, he owned and operated Ward’s Home Improvements for 25 years.
Funeral Service will be conducted 6:00 pm Tuesday January 12th at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations Chapel with the Reverend Rodney Pearce officiating. Burial will take place at the Wadsworth Family Cemetery on Grabtown Rd. Smithfield. The family will receive family and friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Tuesday January 12th at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Pennell Ward; daughters, Crystal Michelle Stancil (Wesley) of Selma, Kimberly Dawn Bradshaw (Steve) of Rosewood; brother Billy Ward (Annie Ruth) of Pikeville; sister, Vickie Smith of Smithfield; grandchildren, Noah, Nick, and Timothy Stancil; and numerous nephews and nieces.
