Mikaila Philomena Stafford, age 3, passed away Thursday evening, May 9, 2019 at her home in Florida. Born December 15, 2015 in Johnston County NC , she was the daughter of Cory and Amanda Stafford. She was preceded in death by her great grandfather’s, Lee Stafford, Robert Hyslop, and Shelby Tolbert.
Mikaila, lovingly referred to as “Roo”, loved unicorns, rainbows, Trolls and mermaids. She also had a deep love for babies and cherished her role as a sister. Roo was daddy’s little girl and a mini version of her momma. Her sweet spirit and heart of gold was treasured by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Clayton, NC. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her siblings, Magdalene, Joshua, Noah, Elijah, Zachary, Mia, and Molly; maternal grandparents, Robert and Sabrina Hyslop of Selma; paternal grandparents, Chris and Michelle Stafford of Selma; aunts and uncles, Mary and Michael Provencher, Bobby Hyslop, Isabella Hyslop, Brittney and Ellis Daniels; great grandparents, Bea Hyslop, Angela Tolbert, Sheila Stafford, and Carol and John Ludwick.
