Smithfield – Milton Brock Allen, age 85, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in WakeMed of Raleigh. He was born December 4, 1932 in Durham County to the late Lyle K. and Minnie Tilley Allen. Milton was an engineer with Northern Telecom in Durham for many years. He was a US Army veteran and a member of the Pine Level American Legion.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, where he was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 -3:00 p.m. just prior to the service.
Surviving are his wife, Marcell Holland Allen; daughters, Lynne K. Carroll and husband Swade and Ann K. Wood and husband Dale all of Princeton and Anna Marie Forrest of Alexandria, VA; brother, Curtis Allen of Nashville, TN; five granddaughters, Amber Melvin, Taylor Carroll, Hailey Wood, Heather Forrest and Kaylynn Forrest and two great grandchildren, Tanner Melvin and Ellie Ruth Melvin.
