Mitchel Dixon Henry, age 90, passed peacefully Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in SECU Hospice House in Smithfield with her daughters by her side and her family in her heart.. Born September 4, 1929 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Luther and Ella Starling Dixon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Henry; two sisters; and four brothers.
A private graveside will be conducted Saturday, June 20, 2020 in Selma Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2020 at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
Surviving are her sons, Arthur Douglas Henry and wife Ginger of GA and David Wayne Henry and wife Connie of TX; daughters, Donna Henry Gerrell and husband Sonny of Kenly, NC and Deena Henry Spach and husband Alan of Selma, NC; brother, Cecil Sherwood Dixon of Micro, NC; twelve grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and several extended family relatives.
