Nell Grice Taylor Erickson, age 81, of Clayton, formerly of Pine Level, passed away on February 12, 2019 at the SECU Hospice House. Born in Johnston County on June 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late William Jefferson and Lou Ella Crocker Grice. Nell was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas B. Taylor and a brother Ransom Grice. Nell was a well-known hair stylist in Pine Level for many years.
Surviving are her husband, Eric Erickson; son, Stephen Erickson of Orlando, FL; daughters, Debbie Jones and husband Jerry of Wilmington, Kim Sgambati of Saddle Brook, NJ; brother, Jerry Grice and wife Jean of Smithfield; sister, Faye Robinson and husband Van of Clayton; grandchildren, Krystle Kyle, Justin and Brandon Sgambati, Christian, Addison and Jerryd Jones, Amory O’Neal, Ashley Milton, and Raegan Brock; and great grandchildren, Chesney Jones, Brina and Ezra O’Neal.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 8, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
