Benson, NC: Mrs. Neta Grey Benson Norris, age 71, of 102 Norris Lane died Monday at her residence. Funeral Service will be held 4:00PM Thursday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Brian Beasley and Jessie Brock. Burial will follow in McLamb Family Cemetery in Benson.
Mrs. Norris was born October 5, 1945 in Johnston County to the late Walter Gardner and Esther Johnson Benson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mack Norris; brothers, Roy Everette Benson, William Dennis Benson and Landy K. Norris and step-mother, Viannie Benson. Mrs. Norris retired from Sylvania and Golden Corral. She also attended Burnell Baptist Church in Four Oaks and served in many capacities.
Surviving are siblings, Walter Lee Benson and wife, Maxine, Thomas E. Benson and wife, Jackie all of Four Oaks, Lewis Dean Benson and wife, Karen of Princeton, Deborah Benson Norris and husband, Dannie B. of Four Oaks, Dottie Moore and husband, Donnie of Coats, Anita Hicks and husband, Jerry of Dunn, Rodney Glenn Norris and wife, Lori of Four Oaks; sisters-in-law, Brenda Benson of Smithfield and Jewelle Norris of Benson; numerous nieces and nephews; special dog, Munchkin; best friends, Kathy and Ronnie Hardison; special nieces, Abbie and Sarah Norris and special caregiver, Denise Jones.
Family will receive friends 2:30PM -3:45PM Thursday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
