Smithfield, NC: Mr. Norwood Brooks Barbour, age 76, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020. Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Four Oaks Church of God in Four Oaks. Officiating will be Pastor Kevin Edwards. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery outside Clayton.
Mr. Barbour was born on December 16, 1943 in Johnston County to the late Ralph and Lola Blizzard Barbour. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean McLamb Barbour, sister, Jackie Johnson, brothers, James Barbour, David Barbour, Chester Barbour, Ralph Barbour, Jr., Billy Barbour and Bobby Barbour. Mr. Barbour was a mobile home mover, professional clown, and loved restoring classic cars.
Survivors include his children, Chris Barbour and wife, Lisa; and Brooks Barbour; grandchildren, Morgan Barbour, Lindsey Barbour, Priscilla Barbour, Jeremy Barbour and Cynthia Barbour; great-granddaughter, Kinsley Almon; sisters, Frances Monds and husband, Jimmy; and Ruth Moore; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Four Oaks Church of God in Four Oaks.
