Palma “Pam” Langley Capps

    SMITHFIELD – Palma Langley “Pam” Capps, age 68, died Monday, October 9, 2017 in her home. Born March 13, 1949 in Micro, NC, to the late Stephen Edgar “Ed” Langley and Alease Tedder Langley Collier, she was preceded in death by a sister, Devona “Bonnie” Langley Cockrell. Pam was a member of the Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church in Selma.
    Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Clay Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker’s Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. just prior to the service.
    Surviving are her son, Jimmy “Bubba” Capps and wife Catina of Smithfield; daughter, Sandy Blake and husband Will of Spokane Valley, WA; brother, Stephen “Steve” Langley and friend Ella of Selma; sisters, Erie Wilcox and husband Keven and Jessica Davis and husband Jerry and brother-in-law, Linwood Cockrell all of Selma; 4 grandchildren, Summer Capps and wife Tatiana of Cary, Wynter Winstead and husband Austin of Wilson’s Mills, Austin Smith of the US Air Force stationed in England and Taylor Smith of the US Air Force stationed in Texas; step-grandchildren, Alexis Grimes and Caitlyn Grimes both of Princeton; and two great grandchildren, Meadow Capps and Coastyn Winstead.
