Willow Spring, NC: Mrs. Pansy Byrd Grimes, age 60, of White Memorial Church Road passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Graveside Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at White Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Willow Spring, NC. Officiating will be Rev. Ed Johnson.
Mrs. Grimes was born on May 5, 1960 in Johnston County. She was preceded in death by her son, William Aaron Thomas Gautier. Mrs. Grimes was a registered nurse and work for Gabriel Manor in Clayton.
Surviving include her husband of 14 years, Rush Grimes of Willow Spring; daughter, Holli Gautier of Black Mountain; mother, Neta Barbour Womble and husband, Wyatt of Four Oaks; father, Troy Byrd, Jr. of Four Oaks; brother, Todd Byrd and wife, Kelly of Four Oaks; nieces and nephews, Zach Byrd, Jamie Hodges, and Erin Byrd.
Mrs. Grimes will be available for viewing, and you may sign the register book on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson. The family will not be present during this time. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service on Tuesday.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
