PINE LEVEL – Peggy Ann Greene Crocker, age 76, died Tuesday afternoon, May 2, 2017 in UNC Johnston Health. Born January 11, 1941 in Johnston County to the late George Parker and Fannie Belle Brock Greene, she was the widow of Charles Richard “C.R.” Crocker and was preceded in death by a son, George Everette Crocker, Sr., daughter, Teresa Creech and a sister, Brenda K. Crocker. Peggy was employed for more than 15 years in the Housekeeping Department of Johnston Memorial Hospital and in later years did private duty sitting.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. Chris McCabe officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be at a later date in the Crocker Cemetery.
Surviving are her daughter, Terry Crocker Puckett and husband Luther of Pine Level; son, Randy Allen of West Virginia; brothers, Tommy Greene, Donnie Greene and wife Cathy, Ronnie Greene and wife Sue and Charles Greene and wife Patsy all of Smithfield; three grandchildren, George Everette Crocker, Jr., James Creech, and Mary Creech Parrish and two great grandchildren, Austin Parrish and Gabriel Parrish.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to a charity of one’s choice.
