Peggy Ann Smith Pannell was born on July 2, 1958, in Johnston County, NC to Haywood and Retha Smith. She departed this earthly life on February 17, 2021.
Peggy attended Princeton Grade School for the first eight years of school and then she attended her last four years of school at Princeton High School.
One of Peggy’s favorite things to do was to remind all of her sisters and brothers that she was the baby of the family. Peggy had a certain way about her that if she liked you, she would ride and die for you. This was just the type of personality she possessed.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Haywood and Retha Smith, one sister, Annie Revells, three brothers, Haywood Smith, Jr., Lindwood Smith, and Robert Smith.
Peggy leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Radford Pannell, Jr.; three sisters, Sarah Foye of Hyattsville, MD, Linda Jones of Princeton, NC and Cynthia Williams of Fayetteville, NC; three brothers, Cornell Smith (Dorothy) of Selma, NC, James Smith of Fayetteville, NC and Larry Smith (Lavern) of Princeton, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
