Benson, NC: Mrs. Peggy Rigsbee Higgins, age 77, of 604 E. Morris Ave, Apt 135, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Emerald Health and Rehab. Graveside Services will be held 5:00 PM, Thursday, March 25, 2020 at Harnett Devotional Gardens, Dunn, NC. Rev. Mark Fields will officiate.
Mrs. Higgins was born on September 10, 1942 in Wake County to the late Huey Estes and Mary Williams Rigsbee. She was a retired waitress and a member of Benson Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved her family, spending time with others, and going out to eat.
Surviving include her children, Timmy Wilson and wife, Tammie, Wanda Hayden and husband, Frankie, John Wilson and wife, Teresa, and Michelle Hester; twelve grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brothers, Estes Rigsbee, France Rigsbee, Jerry Rigsbee and Larry Rigsbee; many nieces and nephews
Due to the current health concerns the family will receive friends at the home of Wanda Hayden, 21 Prospect Lane Dunn, NC 28334 and immediately following the graveside service. Mrs. Higgins will be available for public viewing at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.
