Qaif Baseer Muhammad was born July 1, 1997 in Greenville, NC to Andrea Muhammad and the late Robert Muhammad. He returned to Allah on March 21, 2017. After graduating from Triton High a semester early in 2015 because of his academic excellence in homeschool as a MUI/New Kingdom Academy Student, he went into the workforce. Affectionately known as “Q”, Qaif started his employment at Carlie C’s IGA and moved on to Rooms To Go Distribution Center in Dunn, NC.
Those who knew Qaif will miss his infectious laugh and his ability to bring light into any room. Friends and family particularly, will miss his impromptu dance sessions and being the audience for his weekend fashion shows, giving him advice on “What Not To Wear.” We will miss the determination with which he strived to represent truth even in times where he was the one needing the correction. Allah (God) gave him a birth mark shaped like a heart on his arm, and all who had experienced his presence knew that he truly wore his heart on his sleeve.
He leaves to honor and cherish his memory his mother, Andrea Muhammad; stepfather, Delgen Muhammad; grandparents, James and Evelyn Hood; seven brothers: Wazir (Justina), Deshaun, Carmi, Kenneth, Terrence, Blair and Amran;fivesisters: Fajr (Justin), Asr, Sarayah, Nakaiyah (Isaiah) and Jada; two aunts: Renee (Warren) and Lisa; an uncle: Melchizedek (Hassana); a nephew of the home, Jasir Muhammad; and a host of other nieces, nephews and spiritual family.
