Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Raeford “Pete” Parrish, age 86, died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Raleigh Rehab Center. Graveside Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield. Pastor Eddie White will officiate.
Mr. Parrish was born on September 9, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Robert and Mary Woodall Parrish. He was preceded in death by his grandson, James Gregory Cobb. Mr. Parrish retired from NC State Department of Transportation.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine Wood Parrish; daughter and son-in-law, Shearon P. Cobb and husband, James of Raleigh; grandchildren, Angela Denmark of Clayton, and Jennifer White of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Jamie White, Emma White, and Phyllis Denmark; sister, Magdalene Parrish Bruce of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM Saturday prior to the service at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Four Oaks.
