Ralph Fike Spivey, Sr., age 80, of Rains Crossroads Road near Pine Level, passed away on November 9, 2019 at the SECU Hospice House. Born in Wilson County on May 3, 1939, he was the son of the late William Walter and Pansy Ricks Spivey. Mr. Spivey was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Starling Spivey.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 14, at 2:00 pm in the Oliver Cemetery near Pine Level.
Surviving are two sons, Junior Spivey and wife Gail of Wilson’s Mills, Michael Spivey of Four Oaks; a brother, Jerry Spivey of Mississippi; a sister, Peggy Spivey of Kenly; grandchildren, Derrick Spivey, Michelle Edwards, and Jon Murphy; great grandchildren, Tayler, Madison and Preston Edwards; a great, great grandchild, Weston Halstead; and a young lady who was very special to Ralph and Marie, Megan Champion.
The family will receive friends at cemetery following the service and at other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist with funeral expenses.
