Mr. Ralph Junious Jones Jr. “Catfish”, age 66. Mr Jones transitioned Saturday July 7, 2018 peacefully at home.
Ralph was a graduate of the first graduating class of Smithfield Selma High School in 1970. He was united in marriage to Brenda Dunston in 1972, and began his service in the US Army in 1973. His military travels took him and his family all over the world. Ralph served his country faithfully by completing two tours in Korea and Dessert Storm in 1991. After years of dedication and serving his country, Ralph retired with full military honors in 1993.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, the late, Ralph and Ethel Mae Jones. He leaves to cherish his memory, a wife, Brenda Jones and four children; Anthony Dunston wife Melissa, Sharon Jones, Calvin Jones wife Charnise, Keitia Brooks. Twelve grandchildren and five great grand children.
Four loving sisters; Ava Dunston husband Linwood, Ethel Stancil husband Edward, Brenda Baker and Eleanor Jones. One beloved brother, Bernard Jones wife Rose. Ralph loved his family and none more so than the host of nieces and nephews, who he considered as his own. Special friends and Army comrades King Floyd and Oscar Cherry.
Arrangements for Mr. Ralph Junious Jones Jr. “Catfish” are scheduled for Sunday July 15, 2018 at 2:00pm, viewing/visitation will begin at 1:00pm prior to service at New Generation Christian Church, 4423 Wilsons Mills Rd. Smithfield, NC 27577.
