Wilson – Randy Dale Watkins, 61, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the Brian Center of Wilson.
Randy was born in Newport News, Virginia on September 4, 1957 to the late Jessie and Lydia Bass Watkins. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was later medically discharged from the United States Marine Corps. Randy was recognized for his valor and skill throughout his career with numerous decorations.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Bass Family Cemetery with military honors. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Randy is survived by his sister, Jo Ann Watkins Sibbett of Fayetteville and Ricky Watkins of Selma; nieces, Miranda Rutan and Taylor Watkins; and nephew, Adrian Watkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
