Kenly- Rebecca Jo “Becky” Young, passed away on Monday July 12, 2021 at Johnston Health in Smithfield. Born on November 12, 1953 in Johnston County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian Gilmore Edwards. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by daughter, Casie Thompson; and brother, Kenneth Radford.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. just prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Following the burial, the family will be meeting at 220 Pinecrest Road, Princeton, NC 27569.
Surviving are her son, Adam Thompson and wife Lindsey of Micro; daughter, Dawn Black and husband Paul of Wilson; fiancé, Glenn Crocker of Kenly; brothers, Albert Radford and wife Ellen of Pine Level, Joe and wife Linda of Clayton, Phil and wife Laura of Swansboro, and Tilboa of Smithfield; sisters, Susie Allen and husband Dennis of Pine Level, and Rachel Talton and husband Billy of Smithfield; and grandchildren, Remington, Morgan, Kennadi, Amelia, Ashley, Quinton, Laura, Aubree, Madison, and Bennett.
